Tips for members or attendees to get you started
- Use public transport, walk or cycle to PPE 08. Melbourne has an excellent public transport system with trams stopping at the front entrance to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre and train and bus access close by.
- Set up a car pool and drive to PPE 08 with other members or attendees
- Offset your carbon emissions produced by the plane or car used to get you to PPE 08.
- Choose direct flights where possible. Choose airlines that are active in their green policy. Consider which class you fly as business class has higher emissions per seat.
- Look for the recycling signage and recycle your name badge, lanyard and any other printed material you don't require.
- Ask exhibitors to send you information electronically
- Recycle any printed matter you receive at PPE 08 once it is not required
Tips for exhibitors to get you started at PPE 08
Recycling of paper and cardboard.
- Double sided printing of documents and limitation of printing as much as possible.
- Use of re-cycled paper.
- Reduce printing of emails and correspondence.
- "Please consider the environment before printing" to be used on all emails and correspondence related to PPE
- Energy efficient light bulbs and removal of all display lights where not required.
- General water saving
- Encourage staff to use public transport to get to PPE 08.
